Fashion That Breathes,
Impact That Lasts.

At Vihara, sustainability isn't just a buzzword—it is the loom upon which our entire brand is woven. We are committed to a future where fashion coexists harmoniously with the planet, honoring the hands that make it and the earth that provides for it.

The Slow Fashion Promise

We reject the fleeting nature of trends. Our design philosophy is rooted in longevity. Every Vihara piece is crafted to be a wardrobe staple—timeless silhouettes made with durable, high-quality weaves that age gracefully. By encouraging buying less and wearing longer, we actively combat the culture of disposable fashion.

Handwoven: Low Carbon Footprint

Our core identity lies in the handloom. Unlike industrial textile production which consumes massive amounts of electricity and water, our fabrics are created by human energy. The rhythmic clack of the loom replaces the hum of heavy machinery, resulting in a significantly lower carbon footprint for every meter of fabric we produce.

Natural & Indigenous Materials

We prioritize fibers that return to the earth. From pure cottons to our signature Allo (Himalayan Nettle), we work with materials that are biodegradable and renewable. Our use of Allo, a zero-waste and carbon-neutral fiber, represents our commitment to exploring indigenous solutions for modern sustainability.

Empowering Communities

Sustainability is also about people. Based in Bihar, we work directly with rural artisans, reviving dying weaving techniques and ensuring fair wages. Our supply chain is short, transparent, and focused on keeping the art of Indian craftsmanship alive for the next generation.
