Introducing Allo – A carbon-neutral fiber that weaves together centuries of tradition with a sustainable future.
Allo, also known as Himalayan Nettle Fiber, is a centuries-old natural fiber deeply rooted in the cultural and ecological landscape of the Himalayan region. Derived from the wild Girardinia diversifolia plant, this resilient material has been harvested and crafted by indigenous communities—particularly the Kulung, Rai, and Limbu ethnic groups of eastern Nepal—for over a thousand years.
The earliest recorded use of Allo dates back to the 11th-12th century, woven into ropes, garments, and ritual cloths as a vital symbol of identity and resilience.
